KAUST Fellowship 2027 — Fully Funded Master's and PhD in Saudi Arabia
Fully funded Master scholarship in Saudi Arabia for International students 2027
Over 90 per cent of admitted KAUST graduate students receive the KAUST Fellowship, which covers tuition, a monthly stipend, housing and health insurance. There is no separate scholarship application and no application fee.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree relevant to the programme for M.S. admission; Master's degree for PhD admission
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (admitted students are typically higher)
- At least 18 years old at entry, with English language proficiency
- Academic transcripts, CV, statement of purpose, three referees, passport or national ID
- Not already fully supported by an external sponsorship that excludes the KAUST Fellowship
The KAUST Fellowship is automatically considered for admitted full-time graduate students, so there is no separate scholarship form to complete. It covers full tuition and bench fees worth up to USD 35,000 per year, a monthly stipend worth USD 20,000 per year for M.S. students and USD 25,000 to USD 30,000 per year for Ph.D. students, base accommodation (shared for single students, two-bedroom for married students), health insurance for the student and eligible dependents living on campus, and relocation support covering visa, relocation and travel costs. KAUST puts the total value at between USD 70,000 and USD 80,000 per year.
KAUST admits graduate students of all nationalities. Master's applicants normally need a relevant Bachelor's degree and PhD applicants a relevant Master's degree. Applicants must be at least 18 years old at entry and hold a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, though admitted students are typically well above that. English language proficiency is required. Applicants must submit transcripts, a CV, a statement of purpose, contact details for three referees, proof of English proficiency and a passport or national ID. Applicants who hold certain external sponsorships or partnership funding may not be eligible for the fellowship.
The Fall 2027 round opened on 28 September 2026 and closes on 3 January 2027; it is open to M.S., M.S./Ph.D. and Ph.D. applicants, with decisions released on 14 February 2027 and the semester starting on 29 August 2027. Spring 2027 entry is PhD-only and had a 27 September 2026 deadline. Apply through the KAUST online admissions system and respond quickly to any interview invitation.
Applications are free, and the fellowship is considered from the same application, so there is nothing extra to file.
